Terminal Automation Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides 24/7 Terminal Automation technical support to Operations, I&E Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Commercial and several other departments to ensure quality fuel is delivered to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment at truck loading/offloading racks such as; load rack presets, additive systems and occasionally PLC. Installs field devices; PC3 (card readers), signature pads, etc.
  • Maintains Terminal Automation manuals & automation procedures and ensures they are well-written and consistent with current corporate policies.
  • Conducts general operations, programming, installation, wiring and communication functions of Acculoads.
  • Debugs and optimizes terminal automation programs; maintains program and system files backup; maintains software and communication networks. (Ethernet and Modbus).
  • Interfaces with management, operations, and engineering for day-to-day operations and new project execution.
  • Participates as a member of Acquisition Transition Teams to provide transition implementation, support and procedure gap analysis and ensure that thorough assimilation of facilities, employees, and best practices continues after acquisition.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree in computer science or applied science or undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years pipeline/terminal automation/field technical support experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Technical experience of communication between load rack hardware and Terminal automation system
  • Knowledge and familiarity with load rack or batching operations.
  • Read schematics and logical sequence of Acculoads.
  • Available for travel and work during nights, weekends. Travels to remote locations on as-needed basis.
