Senior HR Coordinator (Timekeeper)

Summary

This individual will be responsible for daily timekeeping for assigned employees. This individual should have knowledge of unit pay practices, wage and hour law as they will be responsible for administering timekeeping function in accordance with the specific business unit pay practices and Wage and Hour Laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provides broad support for assigned functional area, including day-to-day operations, data and records management, and other program and project support.
  • Reviews, audits, and edits timekeeping records. Verifies timesheet data for completeness and ensures correct application of pay practices. Tracks and monitors metrics and trends.
  • Conducts research and prepares and submits documents for review and processing. Collaborates with others to confirm and clarify details of actions/assignment.
  • Maintains electronic files and records and ensures compliance with records retention requirements.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on timekeeping system and provides training to functional users. Responds to questions related to payroll processes and procedures and acts as project/program coordinator for assigned area.
  • Completes payroll processing for assigned employees across multiple regions and states with varying pay practices and acts as liaison with Corporate Payroll for adjustments and corrections.
  • Works with Corporate Payroll to ensure compliance with all required state /federal pay practices. Stays current on changes to state and federal pay practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 4 years of payroll, timekeeping function or related HR support experience required
